Benefit from Malta's eGaming tax rules
Malta has become a centre for egaming companies in recent years. Thanks to a comprehensive legislation regulating this fast growing niche market.
Initially this sector was established by the Public Lotto Ordinance [L.N. 34 of 2000], with the aim of regulating offshore betting offices.
In 2004 this law was radically revamped with the aim of regulating the procedures for remote gaming . This resulted in the publication of the Remote Gaming Regulations.
By means of this set of regulations Malta became the first EU country to regulate Remote Gaming. The result of this was that for the first time certain gaming activities such as on line poker,online casinos, betting exchanges and lotteries are allowed.
