Connecting Europe to Africa

A hub in the Med

Malta's strategic location has always been the secret of the importance given to this tiny island. Positioned in the middle of the Mediterranean it has always had a unique relationship with the often conflicting cultures of Europe and North Africa . While the Maltese have always had a European culture and identity, their proximity to North Africa and their Semitic language has always given them a special position amongst the Arabic world.

The Maltese quickly learnt to exploit this advantage and today this can also be seen in the large number of investments from North Africa and the Middle East, as well as from European investors who use Malta as a platform to do business in North Africa, often with the hiring of Maltese staff.

Moreover, Malta's native language, which is very similar to Arabic, coupled with the Maltese's good command of English brought about by over two centuries of british colonial rule, makes it an ideal bridge between the two continents.

Malta is also not more than two to three hours away from most European and North African cities and has direct connections to most of these, on a daily basis.
